The name Elkanemi Warriors will be on the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club list.
The Maduguri bases club have returned to the top tier of Nigeria club football following their promotion from the Nigeria National League (NNL) on Saturday.
After three years of trying to come back to the top division, the push finally paid off following defeat of their closest challengers City FC of Abuja who were beaten 3-1 by Mighty Jets FC of Jos on the final day.
On their part, El-Kanemi held Sokoto United to a 0-0 draw in Sokoto to finish two points clear at the top of their Northern Conference Group log.
The Desert Warriors topped the Group A1 with 35 points ahead of City FC of Abuja who has 33 points in second.
