William Ekong has promised that the Super Eagles will redeem themselves tomorrow in Sierra Leone after a disappointing 4-4 draw with the Leone Stars in Benin City on Friday.
The Eagles gave up a four-goal lead to draw with Sierra Leone in an AFCON qualifier.
Both teams will clash again tomorrow in continuation of the qualifying series.
Watford defender Ekong said he is counting on the never-say-die Nigerian spirit for the Eagles to win in Freetown to book their place at the 2022 AFCON in Cameroon.
“It is our ‘Naija’ spirit to overcome and succeed,” he tweeted.
“Hungry and ready for redemption Tuesday.”
Nigeria lead Group L with seven points from three matches, while Benin are second on six points.
Sierra Leone are third with two points and Lesotho bottom having recorded a point.
The top two teams will advance to the tournament proper in Cameroon.
