Eguavoen urges Chukwueze to be pragmatic with dribbling ahead of Libya clash

Super Eagles interim manager Austin Eguavoen has cautioned winger Samuel Chukwueze to be mindful of when to dribble, ahead of Nigeria's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Speaking to NFF TV, Eguavoen emphasized the need for Chukwueze to make smart decisions on the field.

"You can imagine Chukwueze coming to defence to help, he gets the ball, what does he do, not dribble," Eguavoen said.

"We know how good he is when he has to dribble but he should know where to dribble, he should know where not to dribble."

Eguavoen stressed the importance of Chukwueze's defensive responsibilities.

"If he comes in, he has to do his defensive duty. It is a responsibility, but he knows what to do, so these are things we go through every now and then."

The AC Milan star's discipline will be crucial as Nigeria hosts Libya at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Friday.
