Thursday night's EFL Cup third round draw saw the final group of Premier League clubs join the competition, with some intriguing ties in prospect including Chelsea visiting Premier League champions Leicester and holders Manchester City travelling to Swansea.
This week's second round ties saw four top flight teams shorn from the competition, Watford losing in extra time to Gillingham and West Brom being dumped out by last season's League Two champions Northampton Town on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, both Burnley and Middlesbrough were beaten out by less-fancied club on Wednesday night, defeated in extra time by Accrington Stanley and Fulham respectively.
Highlights of the second round included the aforementioned set of giant-killings, along with Chelsea's entertaining 3-2 win over Bristol Rovers, Blackburn's 4-3 victory over Crewe and the record-breaking penalty shootout triumph for Championship Derby over Carlisle United.
