Nigeria's Chuba Akpom continued his goal scoring form for Middleborough in the Sky Bet Championship as they are held to by Stoke City on Tuesday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Middleborough played a one all draw with Stock City missing the chance to close the gap on Sheffield United in second at the Riverside Stadium.
Akpom had put Boro ahead after a great work by Riley Mc Gree saw the Nigerian score the club's 1000 goal on their home ground in the 24th minute.
But Ki-Jana Hoever brought the two teams at par after scoring in the 45th minute which eventually was the result at the end of the match.
Akpom, who leads the goal scorers' chat in the league now has 23 goals to his account this season.
