Chuba Akpom has dedicated his goal against Hull City in the match day 42 fixture of the English Championship League on Wednesday to his Coach, Micheal Carrick, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

And the forward was asked how well his has gaffer contributed to his performance this season that prompted the wild celebration.

He replied "massively, I think he is the manager I have been dreaming of my whole career.

Honestly, it is a pleasure to work with him and I go out there and give a 100 and ten percent and I want to fight for the manager because he's showed so much trust and confidence in me and I appreciate that so I just have to dedicate that to the gaffer today." He said.

He was asked what Micheal Carrick has done differently to put him in such great form that has seen him contribute 30 goals for Boro this season.

"I mean immediately when he came in, he put me in the number 10 role and he just gave me the license to just room around. He is given me that freedom to just go out there and express myself and I appreciate that so much." Akpom stated.

Boro keeps their slim chance of automatic qualification for promotion alive after the win over Hull City.
