Nigeria U-20 football team Flying Eagles came from a goal down to humble EFCC Football Club 2-1 in a friendly at the FIFA Gold Project Practice Pitch, Abuja on Saturday morning.
The friendly game which was meant to be a test for the players turned out to be a fight to finishing and a tough nut with both teams heading into the halftime break goalless.
EFCC in the 72nd minute then took the lead through the impressive Moshood Danjuma, a goal which proved how much they’ve been pressing all game.
Ladan Bosso boys will take no defeat and in less than a minute responded with an equalizer through Ibrahim Yahaya before Haliru Sarki netted the winner for the Flying Eagles in the 82nd minute.
Coach Ladan Bosso still has until January 25 to announce his final list for the U-20 AFCON coming up in Egypt next month.
Nigeria has been drawn along side the host Egypt, Senegal and Gambia in group A.
