The Super eagles of Nigeria suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Eagles of Mali in an international game played at the Stade de Marrakech, on Tuesday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

interim coach, Finidi George made four changes to the starting 11 from the 2-1 victory over Ghana on Friday, dropping new invite Tanimu Benjamin to the bench alongside Dessers, Onyemaechi and Frank Onyeka who returned to his club over the weekend for personal reasons.

With a sloppy start for the Super eagles in the game, the Eagles of Mali got their first goal in the 18th minutes after Nigeria defender Awaziem gift Mali forward Toure a pass in front of goal and the defender made no mistake, putting the ball past on rushing Stanley Nwabali.

Doumbia made it 2-0 for Mali in the second half as they earned their second victory during the March FIFA international break.

With just two shots on target against Mali, Finidi George's chances of landing the Super Eagles job no in doubt as the NFF is set to announce the national team coach next month.
