DR Congo List Bolasie, Afobe, 21 Others For Super Eagles Friendly

Democratic Republic of Congo head coach Florent Ibenge has named a 32-man squad for his side’s friendly fixture against Nigeria billed for May 28 in Port Harcourt.

The squad contains three goalkeepers, 10 defenders, seven midfielders and 12 forwards.

Top on the list of the players are Everton winger Yannick Bolasie, Benik Afobe of Bournemouth, Newcastle United’s Chancel Mbemba and former Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta.

Also included in the list are Zamalek forward Kabongo Kasongo, who has scored 13 goals in 33 games for the Egyptian club, and Cederic Bakambu who plays for Chinese club, Beijing Guoan.

The friendly will serve as the Super Eagles farewell game before they fly out for a friendly against England at the Wembley Stadium on June 2nd.

The three-time African champions will also face Czech Republic in Vienna on June 6.

Gernot Rohr’s men are in Group D along with two-time world champions Argentina, Croatia and Iceland.
