Doma United continued their impressive performance in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League season after defeating Katsina United in their match day 17 encounter on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Savannah Tigers beat the Changi Boys 2-0 at the Pantami Stadium courtesy of two early goals by Bidemi Owoku and Samuel Enefiok.
The Gombe based club took an early lead in the second minute after Owoku headed in his shot that was blocked after Emmanuel Ekpenyong's pass.
The lead was doubled six minutes later as Samuel Enefiok slotted into the far post from Andrew Majalisa's cross from the left side.
Owoku tried to make it three, but his volley was blocked by the visiting team as the first half ended 2-0.
Katsina United came out better in the second half, pushing to change the score line, but to no avail as the score remained 2-0 till the end.
The win takes Doma United back to the top with a game more than Remo Stars and Lobi Stars in second and third respectively who play on Sunday.
