Gift Orban is closing in on a permanent switch to Italy with Hellas Verona, just a year after joining TSG Hoffenheim from Lyon in a deal worth up to €9–12 million, including bonuses, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

According to transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, the deal has been fully agreed upon, with only the medical examination and final paperwork remaining before it becomes official.

The agreement between the two clubs is structured as a loan with an option to buy, giving the Italian side significant flexibility in the transfer.

TSG Hoffenheim will receive a €1 million loan fee, while the option to make the move permanent is set at €9 million.

Additionally, the player’s full salary will be covered throughout the loan period. He is currently en route for medical tests as the final documents are being exchanged.
