Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru was involved in a car accident near Bracciano, Italy, on Saturday evening, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Dele-Bashiru, who plays for Lazio in Serie A, emerged unscathed from the incident. The news of the accident gained traction on social media after being reported by Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport.
The accident occurred just two days before Lazio's 6-0 loss to Inter Milan. Dele-Bashiru was driving his Lamborghini in a high-traffic area when the incident happened.
The authorities responded promptly and conducted thorough investigations at the scene. Although the vehicle sustained significant damage, there were no injuries or lasting physical concerns for the player.
Following the accident, Dele-Bashiru contacted his teammate Noslin, who arrived to pick him up and take him home.
Despite the situation, Dele-Bashiru was in training as usual on Sunday morning and was named on the bench for the Inter clash.
He came on in the 57th minute to replace Spanish winger Pedro.
