Former Tottenham and England midfielder Dele Alli has strongly backed Harry Kane after the striker won the Ballon d’Or for the first time in his career.
“I don’t care what anyone says. Kane deserved the Ballon d’Or,” Alli said in an emotional reaction to the award.
Kane was named the winner on 26 October, securing the individual honour for the first time since beginning his career.
Alli and Kane spent a significant period as team-mates at Tottenham, where they played together for the London club.
Kane left Tottenham in the summer of 2023 to join a Munich-based club.
