Afriyie Acquah’s former club Parma will today learn whether they will face administration, as the deadline to pay outstanding player wages looms.
The Ducali must stump up around €25m in unpaid wages today, or face a formal notice from the players, who have gone unpaid all season, which would place them into administration.
New President Giampietro Manenti has promised to pay the club’s debts, but Damiano Tommasi of the player’s union, the AIC, has hinted that he doesn’t expect this to happen.
The Emilian club have already been deducted one point this season, and are heading for another deduction of at least one point, effectively condemning them to relegation despite a battling draw at Roma yesterday.
