Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi says midfielder Mateus Fernandes needs time after joining the London club last summer.
The 21-year-old Portugal international moved to Tottenham from West Ham in July, with the club paying about €100m for his signature.
De Zerbi has now assessed Fernandes’ performances since his arrival, telling reporters: “He needs time.”
