Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong is expected to rejoin first-team training on Monday, 5 October, but he is not expected to receive medical clearance to play for around another three weeks.
According to AS, De Jong’s condition will be closely monitored once he returns to group sessions. His workload will be increased gradually as he continues his recovery.
Under the current schedule, the Netherlands international should be ready to feature for Barcelona on 1 November, when they host Alaves in La Liga.
The 29-year-old has yet to play for Barcelona during the 2026/2027 season because of injury.
Barcelona currently lead La Liga, having taken 21 points from their opening seven matches.
