Lille coach Davide Ancelotti expressed his frustration with the officiating after two goals were ruled out in his side’s 2-0 victory over Troyes in the fourth round of the French championship.
The hosts had goals disallowed in the second and 22nd minutes, with both decisions given for offside. Despite those setbacks, Lille secured all three points and maintained their position among the early leaders of the table.
Ancelotti accepted the second decision but was less convinced by the first. That goal was ruled out shortly after play had restarted, with only a brief period having passed before the officials intervened.
Lille now have 10 points from their opening four matches. They are level with Monaco and Rennes at the top end of the French championship.
