The former Right to Dream academy product has had a stellar club season with Swedish side Helsingborg, before turning down offers from mainstream Europe to sign for MLS side Chicago Fire.

The 24 year old will be making his bow in the biannual competition and says he is looking forward to it.

“I am really excited to be here. Football is eleven players on the pitch and the CAN is biggest competition when it comes to the continent,” The former Right to Dream Academy player said

“It feels great to here, we worked really hard especially with the physical trainer and we are ready to go and for me I am really looking forward to getting my chance and taking it.”

And when quizzed about the level of opponent they will be facing in the group, Accam admitted it was an uphill task but was certain they could conquer.

“It’s a tough group but with the quality we have I am sure that we can make it.”
