Daniel Opare: Agent reveals defender will not be leaving Porto

Duro Ivanisevic, agent of Ghana defender Daniel Opare, has ruled out a move away from Porto and says he is keen on succeeding.

Opare, who joined Porto from Belgian giants Standard Liege, but has struggled with injuries which restricted his game time,

Report’s have linked the former Real Madrid Castilla player from the Dragao but his agent insist, Opare will stay put.

“It is true that he is not playing, he is not relevant, but is not in our plans to let him move away in January,” Ivanisevic told the Game

“After all, Daniel [Opare] is happy at the club, because he knows that Porto has a future for him. At least that's what they tell us.”

“He was injured for a long time and this delayed his progress in Portugal. Now he is good and working well, though he wanted to be playing more as a player, he also knows that sooner or later will get a chance. He is not given up.”

Opare, has since lost his slot in the national team and was not considered for selection into Ghana squad this year’s AFCON to be held in Equatorial Guinea.
