Dani Carvajal willing to accept lower wages in Getafe talks

Dani Carvajal is prepared to reduce his salary demands to join Getafe, but wants the freedom to leave the club in January if another offer arrives.

The 34-year-old defender has been without a club since leaving Real Madrid and has been linked with Getafe in recent days. However, negotiations between the player and the club have proved difficult.

Mundo Deportivo, citing Radio Marca, reports that Carvajal would accept less favourable financial terms to complete a move to Getafe. His condition is that any contract must include a clause allowing him to depart during the winter transfer window if he receives an offer from another club.

Carvajal spent the 2012-13 season on loan at Bayer. Apart from that spell, he represented Real Madrid throughout his career until his departure from the club.
