Dani Alves Explains Decision to Leave Barcelona for Juventus

"?After eight trophy-laden seasons, during which he racked up the "?most assists any player has set up for Lionel Messi, Dani Alves has built a pretty strong case to be considered Barcelona's best right-back of all-time.

The Brazilian had the option of continuing his illustrious Barcelona career as the contract he signed last year stipulates that he can exercise a one year extension or leave the club for free, but Alves chose the latter.

Barcelona confirmed the news and Alves has now explained his decision to leave the Catalan side for Juventus, which he says is all about getting out of his comfort zone and challenging himself.

"I'm not sure I can say we have finalised the deal, but I am about to finalise it. What is certain is that I will not continue at Barcelona,"? the 33 year old told UOL, via Football Espana.

"I think in life we always have to leave the comfort zone. Barcelona is an amazing club, but it was just too comfortable. I am the kind of person who starts getting things wrong if I'm too comfortable.

"What moves me is the challenge, fighting to make history elsewhere. I hope things continue the same way, but at another club now."?
