Nigeria'a sole representative in the WAFU B CAF champions league qualifiers, Bayelsa Queens started their campaign with an impressive win on Sunday.
The Nigeria league champions were in a league of their, running rampage on Togolese champion, Athleta Ladies FC at Stade de Yammosoukro.
A double brace from Etim Edidiong and a goal from Joseph Miracle the Nigeria ladies whitewashed their Togolese counterpart.
An early goal by Miracle set the tone for a goal fest in the fifth minutes of the game before Edidiong scored her first of the game two minutes later to make it 2-0 at half time.
While it was expected that the side who was on the back foot would push hardee to get something in the second phase, the prosperity girls remained best.
Nineteen minutes into the half, Nigerian ladies resumed scoring as Edidiong scored her second in the 64th minutes.
She would later score in quick succession in the 76th and 79th minutes to round off an impressive performance.
Bayelsa Queens returns for their next game group game on Wednesday.
