Injured Asante Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainoosn says he is proud of his colleagues for putting up a gallant display to secure a place in the final of this year’s MTN FA cup.
The Kumasi based side had Christopher Boney who grabbed a brace on the day and industrious Micheal Akuffo to thabk after sealing a memorable 3-1 victory over Aduana Stars.
Asante Kotoko’s season has been blighted by inconsistency but Ainooson says his colleagues displayed tremendous character to reach the finals.
“To reach the finals despite the kind of injuries we have had is really important achievement,’’ Ainooson said
‘’The team did well and kept on fighting till the end which is very important.”
“I think we will continue to do all we can to ensure we put a smile on the face of ours fans.”
Ainooson missed the game through an injury picked up two weeks ago.
