Villarreal midfielder Santi Comesana has criticised the way Real Madrid players reacted to the referee during their La Liga meeting.
“Real Madrid players were devouring the referee alive,” Comesana said after the eighth-round match of the Spanish championship.
Real Madrid secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Villarreal, despite ending the game with 10 men following the dismissal of Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior.
The result moved Real Madrid to 18 points, leaving the club fourth in the La Liga table.
