Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro made a strong defense case for Ademola Lookman when he compared him the Atalanta forward to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Peseiro claimed Lookman is more technical and more inclined in comparison to Osimhen.
While Osimhen boast of 19 goals in 22 Serie A matches, Lookman however has 12 goals in 25, but, the Portuguese tactician believes Lookman is a better choice.
“Ademola is more technical than Osimhen, more inclined to create the game and who is now also scoring,” Peseiro told Sport Italia.
He added: “He is performing very well this year. He grew up with Gasperini; now he is always playing. We are happy with him, high level, he too can aspire to do great things. I would add one thing that applies to both.”
Peseiro will hope both Lookman and Osimhen can replicate their club form when Nigeria clashes with Guinea-Bissau in a doubleheader Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier later this month.
