CO Korhogo have reached the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup after a 2-0 win over Chad’s AS PSI in Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday evening.
The Ivorian side secured qualification with a controlled performance at the Stade Amadou Gon Coulibaly, having drawn the first leg 2-2.
Dao Lassina’s team took charge in the opening period and moved ahead after 12 minutes. Midfielder Adje Laurent Sandani opened the scoring, sending the Poro crowd into celebration.
CO Korhogo maintained their advantage after the interval and extended it in the 56th minute, when Butt, on for Andre Marc Any, scored the second goal.
That proved to be the final decisive moment of the match as CO Korhogo completed a 2-0 victory and progressed 4-2 on aggregate.
