According to a report by Mexican sports outlet Record, Club America would be on the lookout for a new forward to bring to Mexico City at the behest of their Spanish manager Santiago Solari. It seems the former Real Madrid player has asked for Spanish forward Cristo Gonzalez, whose rights belong to Italian side Udinese.

The player, currently at Spanish second division club Mirandes on a loan deal, will return to Udinese in the next few days once the contract is up, but the Pozzo family doesn't seem interested in keeping Gonzalez with the Italian club, so this could be something America use to facilitate possible negotiations.

Before any real attempt can be made at bringing the player to Coapa, however, America will need to free up a couple of spots reserved to foreign players, since the Mexican federation has reduced them from 12 to 10. If Gonzalez does come to Mexico City, he would join fellow Spaniard Alvaro Fidalgo in las Aguilas attack.
