AC Milan booked their spot in the 2024/25 Coppa Italia final with a commanding 3-0 win over Inter Milan in the second leg of their semi-final clash, progressing 4-1 on aggregate after a 1-1 draw in the first leg, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
The result not only secured Milan’s second final appearance this season, following their Supercoppa Italiana triumph, but also dashed Inter’s hopes of a Treble, as they remain Serie A leaders.
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze was an unused substitute for Milan, while Inter were without Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries, with Hakan Calhanoglu starting on the bench.
Goals from Luka Jovic (36’, 50’) and Tijjani Reijnders (85’) sealed the win for the Rossoneri, who maintained their 3-4-3 setup despite injuries, including the continued absence of Kyle Walker.
Milan will now face either Empoli or Bologna in the final, aiming to lift the Coppa Italia for the first time since 2003.
