On-loan Everton midfielder Christian Atsu took to Twitter to congratulate his teammates following their 1-1 FA Cup draw against West Ham United on Tuesday night at Goodison Park.
ames Collins had put West Ham ahead with a powerful header from Morgan Amalfitano's corner in the 56th-minute, before the Belgian striker fired in Bryan Oviedo’s late cross to save his side from a fifth successive defeat.
With the replay between the Premier League pair at Upton Park set for next Tuesday, Blues manager Roberto Martinez believes the result at Goodison Park can reboot the club’s season, and also reserved special praise for goal hero Lukaku.
"Well done lads. Wasn't an easy game. #COYB #EFC #RomeluLukaku9 #," he tweeted.
Lukaku himself was one of a handful of Everton players to take to Twitter after the match to have their say on the performance, along with absent pair James McCarthy and African Cup of Nations-bound Christian Atsu.
