Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for The Best FIFA 2025 Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Nnadozie's nomination comes after a brilliant time at Paris FC, where she stunned Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de France final, keeping a clean sheet and then denying two penalties amidst other top-notch performances for the club in the league and Champions League.
Her heroics for Super Falcons as the team went to win their 10th title in the Women's African Cup of Nations after beating host, Morocco, will not go unnoticed.
Nnadozie will contend with other top goalkeepers for FIFA’s top honour, including Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany), Cata Coll (Spain), Christiane Endler (Chile), Hannah Hampton (England), Anna Moorhouse (England), and Phallon Tullis-Joyce (USA).
These outstanding performances this period have seen her nominated for the CAF women's goalkeeper for the third consecutive time, the Ballon d'Or Best Goalkeeper Nominee, and (IFFHS Women’s Best Goalkeeper Award.
Voting for the FIFA Best Awards will end on November 28, while the awards will be handed out to the winners at a ceremony early next year.
