Chelsea's bid to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli has received a significant boost after the Serie A club reduced their asking price, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Napoli's sporting director, Giovanni Manna, held talks with Chelsea officials in London, where a potential deal was discussed.
The report suggests that a bid of £38.5m, plus the inclusion of Romelu Lukaku and Cesare Casadei, would be enough to persuade Napoli to sell the striker.
Napoli are interested in signing Lukaku but cannot afford the £40m asking price, leading to a proposed swap deal involving the Belgian international and Casadei.
Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli this summer after requesting a transfer, and Chelsea's chances of signing him have increased with the Italian club's reduced demands.
