CHELSEA ladies ace Eniola Aluko was rushed to hospital after clattering into the advertising hoardings. The 30-year-old was carried off the field on a stretcher during a match against Yeovil Town

After chasing a lofted ball, the England forward flew off the pitch and crashed into the hoardings.

Fans chanted her name and applauded as she was carried off the field on a stretcher.

The official Chelsea Ladies Twitter page posted: “Now Aluko threatens in behind, racing onto a lofted through-ball but the angle is just too tight for her. She went clattering into the advertising hoardings and there are worrying scenes as a stretcher is called for #CLFC”

24-year-old forward Fran Kirby was introduced to replace her as the Blues led 2-0 against The Glovers.

Aluko, who has made 102 appearances for England, was then rushed to hospital.

The club posted: “We’ve just received an update on the injury suffered by Eniola Aluko. She’s a little bit groggy and on her way to hospital, but it’s only a precautionary check-up. Hope you feel better soon, Eni! #CLFC”
