The London club believe the France international’s reduced playing time at Barcelona could improve their chances of signing him.

Kounde, 27, has made five appearances for the Catalan side in all competitions this season and has not recorded a goal or an assist.
The defender’s contract with Barcelona runs until 2030. His transfer value is estimated at 55 million euros.
