Chelsea Captain John Terry Out Against PSG

Chelsea captain John Terry has confirmed that he will definitely miss the club's mammoth clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

The 35-year-old has not played in any of the last five matches after picking up a hamstring injury against Newcastle United on 13 February.

Terry, who is out of contract at the end of the season and may well leave Stamford Bridge, posted a heartfelt message on social media describing how much it "hurt" not to be involved in the second leg.

"It's so frustrating missing any game, but these big Champions League nights at the Bridge are unbelievable and it hurts as a player not to be involved.

"I have thrown everything at my injury trying to get back fit but sometimes you have to let the injury settle, and thankfully I'm on the mend and hope to be back soon."

Terry also missed the first leg, a 2-1 defeat to PSG at the Parc des Princes.

The Blues held an open training session on Tuesday morning but Terry - stuck on 699 appearances for Chelsea - didn't take part.

Diego Costa, however, did take part in the session after missing the 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the weekend, as did Kenedy and Pedro.

Radamel Falcao also trained but is not part of the Champions League squad
