Chelsea and Manchester United are monitoring Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque as they consider whether to make a move for the Brazil forward during the winter transfer window.
The two Premier League clubs are following the 21-year-old’s progress and have begun gathering information about his situation, according to Transfer News Live, citing journalist Ekrem Konur.
No negotiations are taking place at this stage. Chelsea and Manchester United have not opened formal talks with Palmeiras, with their interest currently limited to assessing the player and the potential conditions of a transfer.
Palmeiras could demand a fee of about 50m to 60m euros for Roque, as well as a percentage of any future sale. That valuation would represent a significant increase on the 25.5m euros the Brazilian club paid to sign him from Barcelona.
Roque joined Palmeiras in February 2025 after leaving the Spanish club. His current market value is estimated at 38m euros by Transfermarkt, meaning a possible deal could be worth considerably more than that assessment if Palmeiras’ reported asking price is met.
The striker is therefore attracting attention from two of England’s biggest clubs, although their interest remains at an early stage. Both clubs are understood to be considering their options ahead of the winter window rather than actively negotiating a transfer.
For now, Palmeiras retain the negotiating position over the forward, who arrived from Barcelona for 25.5m euros. Any approach from Chelsea or Manchester United would be expected to involve not only the initial transfer fee but also Palmeiras’ reported demand for a share of a future resale.
The developments place Roque among the players being watched by the two Premier League clubs, but there is no indication that either side has made a formal offer or that an agreement is close. Their current activity consists of monitoring his development and collecting information before deciding whether to pursue a deal.
Palmeiras’ potential valuation of 50m to 60m euros, together with the proposed sell-on percentage, would be central to any future discussions. Transfermarkt’s 38m-euro estimate provides a separate indication of Roque’s present market value, while the Brazilian club’s position reflects the terms it may seek if interest develops into negotiations.
The reported tracking comes only months after Roque’s move from Barcelona to Palmeiras. Chelsea and Manchester United will now continue to assess the former Barcelona forward as they consider possible recruitment during the winter transfer window.
