Celta Vigo were unable to turn home advantage into victory as they drew 1-1 with Malaga on matchday five of Spanish La Liga.
The hosts were favourites but struggled to create consistently during the first half. They eventually took the lead in the 41st minute when Ferran Jutgla finished from Hugo Gonzalez’s assist.
Celta Vigo remained in front for most of the match, but Malaga found an equaliser shortly before the final whistle. Pablo Martinez supplied Adrian Nino, who found himself in position to shoot and made no mistake.
The result leaves Celta Vigo with four points and 14th in the table. Malaga have three points and sit 17th.
