Cash-strapped Ghanaian second-tier side Okwahu United have pulled out of this year’s Elite Cup competition.
The former Ghana Premier League campaigners is in serious financial crisis resulting in the decision to pull the plugs on their involvement.
The club’s board of directors resigned en bloc on Monday citing lack of financial support from the club’s patrons.
Okwahu were scheduled to play Inter Allies at Nkawkaw in the preliminary round of the competition.
