Guinea-Bissau and Nigeria meet at the Estadio 24 de Setembro on Tuesday as both sides look to maintain their winning starts in qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Group L fixture is scheduled to kick off at 16:00 GMT on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, with the two teams competing to strengthen their position at the top of the section.
Guinea-Bissau began their campaign with a convincing 2-0 victory over Tanzania. Franculino Dju put them ahead with a first-half goal before Mama Balde added a second after the interval.
Ranked 132nd in the world, Guinea-Bissau will now face a Nigeria side that represents a significantly stronger test at international level. However, their opening result has given them an early platform in the group.
Nigeria also secured three points in their first qualifying match, although they were made to work for a 2-1 win against Madagascar.
The Super Eagles remain under the management of former Lens defender Eric Chelle, who has overseen progress in the team during the past 12 months.
Chelle’s side will attempt to continue that improvement by claiming another victory and taking control of the early Group L standings. Guinea-Bissau, however, will be seeking to make home advantage count and provide a difficult challenge at the Estadio 24 de Setembro.
With both teams having won their opening fixtures, Tuesday’s meeting is an early contest between the section’s leading sides. Nigeria will arrive looking to build momentum, while Guinea-Bissau will aim to show that their result against Tanzania was the beginning of a serious qualifying campaign.
