Real Madrid have received a €35m offer from Galatasaray for midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, but the Spanish club reportedly considers the proposal far below his value.
The approach from the Turkish club was reported by FotoMac, which says Galatasaray sent the offer to Real Madrid for the 23-year-old France international. However, the amount has reportedly been dismissed by the Spanish side as laughable.
Camavinga is expected to remain at Real Madrid despite the interest, according to the report. No agreement has been reached between the clubs, and Galatasaray’s proposal has not changed the expectation that the midfielder will continue in Madrid.
The Frenchman has featured in all three of Real Madrid’s La Liga matches so far this season. He has started the campaign without registering a goal or an assist.
Camavinga joined Real Madrid’s first-team squad as a highly regarded young midfielder and remains under a long-term contract at the club. His current deal is due to run until 2029, giving Real Madrid considerable control over his future.
The length of that agreement is one factor behind the club’s apparent unwillingness to consider a €35m offer. Transfermarkt, the respected football player valuation website, estimates Camavinga’s current market value at €50m.
That assessment is €15m higher than the fee proposed by Galatasaray. The difference between the reported offer and Transfermarkt’s valuation helps explain why the bid has not been viewed favourably by Real Madrid.
Camavinga’s involvement in each of Real Madrid’s first three league fixtures also indicates that he remains part of the club’s plans for the new season. Although he has yet to produce a goal contribution, he has been present in every La Liga match played by the team so far.
The report does not indicate that Real Madrid are actively seeking to sell Camavinga. Instead, it presents Galatasaray’s offer as an approach that has failed to meet the Spanish club’s expectations, with the player currently projected to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
For Galatasaray, the reported proposal represents an attempt to sign a midfielder who is contracted to Real Madrid for another three years beyond the current season. For Real Madrid, the offer falls short of the €50m valuation cited by Transfermarkt and has therefore not been considered an acceptable basis for a transfer.
Camavinga’s contract situation, his continued appearances in La Liga and the gap between the bid and his estimated value all point towards the same outcome: the midfielder is expected to remain with Real Madrid rather than move to Galatasaray.
