Cagliari have rejected an offer from Fiorentina to take highly-rated central midfielder Godfred Donsah on loan.
The Viola have been looking to sign another midfielder to accompany Mario Suarez in the centre of the pitch and have already missed out on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who has signed for Lazio.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Rossoblu are only interested in letting the Ghanaian go for around €7 million and would preferably like to have him for one more season on loan in Serie B.
The 19 year-old made 21 appearances for Cagliari last season, scoring two goals in the process, but was unable to halt the their relegation to Serie B.
Donsah moved to Italy in 2012 as he underwent trials at Roma, however he was snapped up by Palermo.
He failed to make an appearance for the Rosanero and eventually moved to Sardinia in 2014.
