The CAF Women's Champions League Morocco 2024 is set to be a historic event, with significant financial rewards for all participating teams, Nigeriasoccernet.com can confirm.
Each of the eight African women's football clubs competing in the tournament will receive a minimum prize money of USD 150,000.
This year, the total prize money for the competition has been increased by 52% to a substantial USD 2,350,000. The winner of the tournament will receive a prize of USD 600,000, while the runner-up will take home USD 400,000.
The third and fourth-placed teams will receive USD 350,000 and USD 300,000, respectively. Each team finishing third or fourth in their group will also receive a prize of USD 200,000 or USD 150,000, respectively.
The increased prize money reflects CAF's commitment to developing and growing women's football in Africa. Under the leadership of President Patrice Motsepe, CAF aims to invest in youth academies for both boys and girls and to continue increasing the prize money for all CAF competitions to make them globally competitive and attractive.
