Rivers United's CAF Champion League first round opponent Watanga FC of Liberia started their season with fine win over the weekend.
The Liberia league champions got to a comfortable win in their first match of the 2022/2023 season.
Watanga kicked off their league campaign with a 4-2 win over newly promoted side, Jubilee FC. where Farsedu Logan and Sheikh Sessay got a brace each.
The Liberia giants are billed to play Nigeria's league champions, Rivers United on Sunday 11th of September at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Rivers State.
The winner of the two-legged affair will meet defending champions Wydad Casablanca in the next round.
