CAFCL: Plateau United's opponent threaten to withdraw

Plateau United CAF Champions league Preliminary round opponents, Stade mandji of Gabon have threatened to withdraw from this year CAF Champions League.

 

The champions of from Gabon have decided due to unavailablity of funds required to finance their participation in the CAF tournament.

 

The team claimed they have not been paid the 80,000,000 CFA prize money from the title they won last season as they were only given the trophy.

 

This is despite numerous reminders from the Stade Mandji management committee.

 

Stade Mandji says it has been financing certain trips itself during the national championship.

The game against Plateau United comes up 10th September and the team has to move from Port-Gentil to Franceville and the team has to not only finance the trip, but also bear the cost of logistics for the Nigeria team.
