Young Africans head coach, Nasreddine Nabi has warned his side’s follower about their qualification despite holding a 2-0 advantage going into the second leg of their quarter final CAF Confederations Cup against Rivers United, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Tanzanian outfit at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo got their noses in front through Congolese import Fiston Mayele in the 73rd minute after skipper Bakari Mwamnyeto set him up.
Mayele scored the second nine minutes later, with Mwamnyeto also the provider.
Nabi in an interview with CAFonline expressed his happiness over team’s commanding display but was quick to remind everyone of the chances of Rivers United going to the second leg.
“I am delighted to win because it is not easy to come to Nigeria and win. We played well and took our chances, but the game is far from over,” Nabi said.
“We still have the second leg and we need to do even better to ensure we qualify.”
The second leg will take place this Sunday at the Benjamin Nkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam.
