Nigerian league champions Rivers United have been drawn against Tanzanian side Young Africans Sport Club in the quarter finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
After Wednesday draws in Cairo, it was revealed that the Pride of Rivers will host the first leg in Nigeria on the weekend of April 23.
The Second leg will be played 7 days later at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium, the home ground of Yanga in Tanzania.
It promises to be a mouthwatering over two legs as it will be a clash of two teams that top their respective leagues.
The last time the two teams met in 2021 was in the CAF Champions League where the Nigerian team defeated the Tanzanian side by a goal to nil home and away.
Other fixtures in the CAF Confederation Cup quarter final will see Pyramids play Marumo Gallants, US Monastrie tackle Asec Mimosas while USM Algiers will lock horns with FA Rabat.
