CAFCC: Paul Acquah to undergo late fitness test before Sunday clash

Rivers United will wait until the last minute to see if they can have available their in form striker Paul Acquah for the CAF Confederations Cup clash against Young Africans of Tanzania on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Pride of Rivers will host the Young Africans  in the first leg at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium with the Ghanaian international still being a doubt.

Acquah has been out injured since his knock in Rivers United’s final group game against ASEC Mimosa of Cote d’Ivoire in Yamoussoukro last month.

Media officer of the club, Charles Mayuku wilhie speaking to Nigeria new outlet Daily Post revealed the player is back in training with his teammates but will need to be certified fit to be included in the matchday squad.

“Acquah is back in training with the rest of the team preparing for our game against Young African of Tanzania on Sunday.“ He said.

“He will be accessed by the coaches for final inclusion but he is training with the squad in Uyo.”

Acquah is a top scorer in the CAF Confederation Cup with five goals.
