Ahead of their first leg CAF Confederation Cup second round tie against RS Berkane, Kwara United has called for fans to support them in the make or mar encounter on Sunday

According to the message by the Media Team, support is key to Kwara-based team’s progress in the competition, especially as they take the centre stage against the Cup holders, who are also the Champion of Champions in Africa.

Kwara United eliminated AS Douanes of Niger Republic on 3-0 aggregate in the Preliminary Rounds, to come face to face with the Berkane-based team.

Aware that the RS Berkane challenge is more crucial, the technical crew stepped up its trainings, especially on the backdrop of their resolve to qualify for the Group stage of the second-tier inter-club competition in Africa.

After the first leg at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Sunday, Kwara United will visit Berkane, Morocco for the second leg on Sunday October 15th, with the 10,000 capacity Stade Municipal de Berkane, Morocco hosting the match.

The winner over the two legs qualifies for the Group stage. Just like the match against AS Douanes, Kwara United needs to win and win well on Sunday, to reduce the pressure on the team in the return leg in Berkane.

Kwara United participate in a CAF organised inter-club competition for the third time after the 1999/2000 and 2007/2007 seasons.

Meanwhile, ticket prices for the match have been fixed by the Marketing Department of the team. Tickets for the VVIP and VIP seating positions goes for five thousand naira (N5,000) and one thousand naira (NI,000) respectively, while that of the popular sides are fixed for five hundred naira only (N500).
