Nigeria's El Kanemi Warriors have been knocked out of the CAF Confederation Cup after losing 3-2 on aggregate to Dadje FC of Benin Republic on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Borno Army from Maiduguri lost 2-1 in the second leg played at Stade Gènèral Mathieu Kèrèkou after a 1-1 in the first leg in Nigeria.
Dadje FC scored the opener on 32 minute but Clement Naantuam brought El Kanemi Warriors level before the break.
But with two minutes to the end of full time, the Benin side scored to make it 2-1 and held on to win and qualify to the next round of the competition.
It is the first qualification for a Beninese club since 2019 when ESAE made its mark with its historic run.
The Aplahoue's men will now face RS Berkane in the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
