CAF set date for Benin vs Nigeria World Cup Qualifier, confirm venue

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has scheduled the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Benin and Nigeria for Monday, June 10, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Injury rampaged Nigeria, currently second in Group C with two points, will face Benin, who sit at the bottom with one point.

The match will take place at Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, with a 5pm kick-off.

Ethiopian referee Bamlak Tessema Weyesa will officiate the match.

Benin is hosting their home games in Côte d’Ivoire as their stadiums did not meet international standards.
