Confederation of African Football (CAF) secretary general Samson Adamu has arrived in Nairobi at the head of a large delegation to assess progress on Kenya’s sporting infrastructure ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The inspection comes as Kenya steps up preparations to co-host the tournament with its neighbours in East Africa. CAF officials will examine key construction and redevelopment projects during their working visit, including Moi International Stadium, Kasarani, and Talanta Sports City.
The delegation’s assessment will focus on whether the projects are advancing according to schedule and meeting the international standards required to host the competition.
The visit is intended to help ensure deadlines are respected and that the facilities are ready to support what will be a major football event on Kenyan soil.
